03 / IMPORTANT SAFETY GUIDANCE

Protective Workwear Needs Additional Care

Safety garments should be maintained according to their documented performance requirements, manufacturer instructions and workplace procedures.

01

High-Visibility Clothing

Inspect fluorescent material and reflective components for fading, damage or persistent contamination. Follow the stated washing method and any product-specific wash-cycle limit.

02

Flame-Resistant & Arc-Rated Clothing

Follow the garment manufacturer's laundering instructions. Some detergents, additives and contaminants can affect protective performance. Damaged or inadequately cleaned garments require assessment before reuse.

Important: Clothing contaminated with hazardous substances must be handled according to workplace safety procedures. Do not assume ordinary household washing is appropriate. Protective garments that no longer meet their required performance must be taken out of service.
